Susan Martinez

“My artwork explores emotion, nature, resilience, faith, and the shared human experience. Through layers of color, texture, and movement, I seek to create work that invites reflection and connection.

Rather than striving for perfection, I embrace the beauty found in the creative process. My hope is that each piece cultivates peace, awakens wonder, and serves as a gentle reminder that hope is always taking root.”

Born and raised in Billings, Montana, my journey has woven together human services, counseling education, entrepreneurship, and a lifelong passion for art.

I am passionate about fine art, expressive arts, community engagement, and creative aging, believing the creative process has the power to nurture the soul, inspire hope, strengthen resilience, reduce stress, and support emotional well-being throughout every season of life.

Alongside my studio practice, I serve as Director of Sandstone Gallery Co-Op, am a member of the Billings Arts Association, and serve as Sandstone Gallery’s representative and chair for the Billings Arts Association exhibition wall.
