“I was born and raised in the shadows of the mountains of southwestern Montana. As a young woman, I decided to learn oil painting. Life took me to Fresno, California, and art took me from oils to watercolor. I later moved to Los Angeles and acrylics. After some experimentation, I discovered a way to layer clear and pigmented acrylics and mixed media. I use this technique to paint my emotional response to the external environment and to my internal life. Several years ago, I returned to Montana and am again finding inspiration in the beauty of my native state.”
