FEATURED ARTIST
Dates: June/July 2024
Artist’s Statement: My journey in creating visual art has been a long and winding one beginning in Montana, where I was born . I was fortunate to be taught by many of the who’s who of local art teachers and professors.
I always loved to sketch, paint and play with clay. After living in Japan I realized I had an affinity for the bold colors and patterns of block prints by Hiroshige and, the subtle sophisticated patterns of kimono and other fabric arts ubiquitous to Japan. This experience gave me multitudes of inspiration for my digitally created works and also, polymer clay pieces.
I hope you enjoy my offerings as much as I did creating them!
